Kara Mohr

Kara was born the youngest of 7 children in the suburbs of Houston, Texas. The very first animal she became enamored with that jumped started her love of wildlife was the Malayan tapir, who she discovered at the Houston Zoo at the age of 2. Kara has her own tapir tattoo to commemorate this moment. 

 Since growing up, her love of animals and the natural world has only grown. After graduating from Texas A&M, Kara lived and worked as a designer/illustrator in NYC, but is now happy to make the west coast her home and explore all the wildlife and ecosystems of California. Beyond making art, Kara loves hanging out with her dog, Woods and her cat, Benny.
